AVVIA è un gioco rapido e teso di movimento nascosto, un gatto col topo. Un giocatore è il Corridore, che si muove tra i grattacieli della città e usa gadget. A dargli la caccia c'è il Dispatcher, che manda il suo elicottero e le auto della polizia per stanarlo.
Il Corridore ha una scorta limitata di tessere movimento, quindi deve pianificare in anticipo per non ritrovarsi in un angolo. Ogni movimento lascia anche indizi che il Dispatcher può usare per dedurre dove sia andato. Il Dispatcher ha potenti capacità di ricerca e può chiamare rinforzi se le cose si mettono male. Se il Corridore viene toccato due volte, la partita finisce.
