"Hardback is full of great combos, excellent production values, and creative game play. It feels different enough from its cousin Paperback that I’m fine owning both, but if I had to choose one, it’d definitely be Hardback. I’ll never play Scrabble again... my absolute favorite word game." - BoardGameQuest (4.5/5 stars)

"Thumbs up for me. A lot of fun. Highly recommend it" - Tom Vasel, Dice Tower (Seal of Approval)

"Hardback has some really intriguing plot twists that I didn't see coming... I'm really enjoying it." - Jonathan Liu, GeekDad

Olivia ★★★★★

The deckbuilding twist on word games works way better than I expected, and the solo mode keeps me coming back on quiet evenings. My only gripe is the box insert is a bit fiddly, but the cards themselves feel sturdy and shuffle nicely.

Scarlett ★★★★★

Playing as Penelope Quill and building words from my own deck of letter cards is way more addictive than I expected. The solo mode works great for a quiet evening, though the ink tokens take a round or two to click. Already thinking about which card combos to try next game.

Henry A. ★★★★★

The deckbuilding twist on word games hooked me faster than I expected, and playing as Penelope Quill actually makes me care about building her writing career. Turns are quick once you get going, though the first playthrough had me checking the rules more than I'd like.
